Casa del Arte is a large apartment in one
of Vejer's most historic Moorish houses. It is situated just a two-minute
walk
from the town’s centre, the Plaza de España. The flat blends traditional Moorish features
with modern facilities. The interior has been completely redesigned,
utilising the large floor area to stunning effect. Hand-made terracotta
tiles run throughout the property, with hand-stained doors and
Arabic metal lanterns giving their own special and individual flavour.
Casa del Arte is situated on the first floor. The common patio is entered through thick wooden doors
and then a
wrought iron gateway Inside the apartment there is a wonderful feeling
of space and
light. Through each window is a wrought-iron balcony with shutters. An iPod docking station and speakers
and widescreen TV is
also provided, along with a DVD player and a selection of popular films
and books.
There are two bedrooms - both are doubles - and a camp bed can be supplied if required. There is also a sofa-bed in the living room and of course a bathroom.
